Traumatized...and other things!

Ok, so you know its Spring in England when you start to name the spiders in your house rather than kill them, but this one exceeded my threshold for coexistance. Tess found it, of course, and chased it into the corner. Now you can imagine that I was left with the task of deciding how to handle this nasty, HUGE, creature. First I e-mailed my friend who lives nearby, asking if her husband could stop by on his way to work and I also e-mailed my other friend nearby to see if she was afraid of spiders (this was all super early in the morning). Next, I decided I had to take a picture so that you all would actually believe me when I try to explain how gigantic this thing really was. Then, this crazy spider decided to start moving...I went back to look and he had run all the way across the entry way to the other corner. I decided I couldn't wait for someone to get here, so I brought out the "big guns!" Chris I am sure that you can already guess what I did...yes, I got out the vacuum and sucked that furry spider right up! He barely fit in the hose and made a thumping sound when he was being sucked in! Then, for fear that he would jump back out when I turned it off, I left it running as I drug it to the back door and put it outside, where I finally turned it off, and left it out there...indefinitely! Now, I am sure my neighbors think I am nuts, not because of the spider, but because they think I choose to vacuum at 6:30 AM!!
On to more pleasant things! Here is smoochy pants taking a swim in the tub. He loves it! He splashes so much that I am usually covered in water when its all said and done! I couldn't resist this one...check out his hair! It seems to match his sassy personality! LOVE IT!!
We have been trying all kinds of new things lately! Cole loves Yo Baby yogurt, rice cakes, carrot puffs, teething biscuits and veggie pasta! As you see he is also trying out sippy cups! This picture was taken right after I caught him laughing and pouring his water over the edge of his tray onto the carpet! It really has been a fun time with him dispite the mess!
Out with the old and in with the new...or should I say middle aged! Here it is, the new car! The orange beastie finally made its way to the junk yard! The mechanic that we go to said that it wasn't even safe to drive anymore! SO, this new car is fabulous and safe! I am really excited to take a road trip in it! We will have to test it out when our friends Blake and Rob come for a visit in the end of May!
Hope your mornings are starting out a little less eventful than ours :-)
Cheers!

I agree that spider is off the hook! At least you have that cute little man to distract you from nasty stuff like that!

OMG!!! I HATE spiders (as Conor can attest), I'm so freaked out just by the thought of it and totally would have done the vacuum thing if it were me. See you (and Cole and the new car) in about a week :)
